let’s all hope and pray that GTECH decides not to appeal and wants to settle on or before the 15 days!! ๐Ÿ™‚

If Gtech was smart they would settle and not go to a jury trial . There’s no way they would win a jury trial. But I think they will drag this on to the end . Thanks to our attorneys !

Yeah 15days are up. normally they a file the same day. whats the hold up people. go on settle and lets all go on on with our lives and I hope they don’t give it to them. they had 4 years to plead their fake tickets. now don’t give them but a week.

Here is my question…. So since we’ve been dealing with this for years. Shouldn’t we get more than what they originally owed us? How does this work?

  5. J smith

Wat happen if they don’t appeal the decision in 15days

  6. Darlene Hodge

Awesome questions Natalie I believe so thanks for that ? I want to know about that interest on our money does anyone know

  7. Kimberley Sohn

Do we know if GTech appealed today by 5:00?

  8. JL

So today I thought was the 15th day, No News????

    • J smith

Yeah me to I hope no news is good news. When we get it cause there’s really no since in them going there .they gave it up to the 3rd court of like I am and say let’s pray it’s over. And if not they want to go on hell come on but please make them double up

Are they just dragging it out or did they file for rehearing? Or are they just going to take it to Texas Supreme Court??? Hmmmmm

    • IBC66

      Lynn
GTECH will not be wise to take it to the Supreme Court as they will loose. They may file to stall time. Even if they appeal, usually higher courts rule with the decisions of lower courts unless there are big discrepancies.

We have great attorneys and we have waited almost 4 years so Natalie if GTECH wants to settle, our attorneys can bargain a higher settlement and bigger payout.

I persinally want us to go to trail by jury as that can give us much more pay and also rule GTECH pay our attorneys instead of the players. This will take more time though!!!

The 15th day for GTECH to appeal or act is Feb 1- Iโ€™m thinking weekends do not count!!!!

    Lawyers please verify.

I beleive times up on the 26th. I looked it up at Austin courts and gave our case #
and this is what I got :

01/10/2018 Retention Civil case to be retained permanently (archived)
01/26/2018 Status Motion for rehearing due
      02/12/2018 Status Release to publisher
      03/23/2018 Status Mandate to Issue

So Motion for Rehearing Was Due was on 01/26/2018

    • IBC66

I just googled it and it does include weekends!! So pray the 25 th was the last day to appeal and if it goes to Supreme Court we no doubt will win!!!!

I comment that our story was on the front page of the El Paso Times. So i think this is good that the media is taking us serious .

    • IBC66

Solcruz, I was unable to get the article in El Paso Times. Would you please tell me the title of the article???

      • jake

I was unable to find it also

      • Solcruz

it was published on january 25, it was titled โ€œ Lawsuits accuse lottery contractor of fraud. and it has a picture of Nettles

  12. Mona

Oh, wow..I was thinking the appeal date was up around Feb.1st..not counting the weekend..๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

  13. Cynthia

Are weekend’s Included for 15days or just working days we just need our justice and get paid what we rightfully won.

  14. Ronin

Well I personally think that if they have not filed a motion for a rehearing or rehearing en banc by now I donโ€™t think they are going to. I think they are maybe starting to realize that whether they drag this out or try fighting Us in court itโ€™s not going to end well for them. Which is a beautiful thing

  15. S

Mr LaGarde stated the If GTECH didnโ€™t file a motion for rehearing or motion for rehearing en banc, then they (GTECH) has forty-five days from the date of January 11th which comes to February 25th to file a Petition for Review with the Texas Supreme Court. There is always the chance they can file for an extension past the February date but I really believe GTECH is feeling the noose getting tighter around their necks!! I am loving that thought….

  16. Darlene Hodge

I’m wondering why my name is not on the list on the website as an appellee….?

I guess everyone make sure that their name is on the list?

I see some people’s names that are on the exhibit a or also on that website but not everybody.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. GTECH MAY BE INVOLVED IN ANOTHER MISPRINT CASE!!!! This error happened in New Jersey. The man clearly won $150,000 on a $5 scratch off and the New Jersey Lottery told him no. Why? Because they say Gtech misprinted the instructions to the game. Here’s the link. See for yourself. I watched it and he’s clearly a winner!!!
