Texas Fun 5's Lawsuit

Dallas Court of Appeals Refuses to Review Order Granting GTECH (IGT) Immunity

A three-judge panel of the Dallas Court of Appeals recently ruled that the operator of the Texas Lottery cannot be sued for defrauding lottery players in the State of Texas.  The plaintiff in that case, Dawn Nettles, asked the entire Dallas Court of Appeals to reconsider the panel’s ruling.  The Dallas Court  issued an Order this week in which it refused to grant Ms. Nettles’ request for a rehearing.   Ms. Nettles plans to ask the Texas Supreme Court to review the Dallas Court’s opinion.
